How Dusty is my Rug?

It’s been a while since I posted a blog here. My apologies for this. We want to thank everyone for making 1017 an incredible year. It’s been so busy here.

Have you ever noticed how much dust, sand, and tiny particulates gets into foundation yarns of your area rug. Here’s a test. Lift the corner of the rug about 18″-24″ off the ground, then slap the back. Observe the dust. Next, take your rug and place it upside down on the floor. With a beater bar vacuum, vacuum it well on the back side. Now lift up the rug and notice the sand that is now on the floor. Really!! It’s been holding dust and sand  that you couldn’t see.

Sand and small particulates actually cuts the fibers at the base of the rugs. This is why it’s important to have a way to completely empty your rug. It would be great to be able to do this in home, but the results are limited at best.

Before we wash any rug, we perform a thorough dusting process. Our large rug tumbler gently and safely tumbles your rug as the dust falls through the perforated canister. Rugs that are heavily compacted with years or decades of sand and dust are revived back to a beautiful, “empty” state. In fact, rugs are physically lighter after the process.

If you have any questions regarding the dusting processes, feel free to contact us. We would be more than happy to help you with your rugs
